What We Don't Collect

Ebilon does not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Your reading history or saved articles
• PDF or EPUB files you import
• Your reading preferences or settings
• Any personally identifiable information
• Usage analytics or statistics
• Device information or identifiers
• Location data
• Crash reports or diagnostic data

What Stays on Your Device

All data remains locally on your iPhone:

• Saved articles and their content
• PDF and EPUB documents
• Reading progress and bookmarks
• Favorites and archives
• App settings and preferences

This data is stored using iOS's native storage (SwiftData) and never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

How the App Works

Article Saving

When you save an article from Safari:

1. The URL is passed to Ebilon via iOS Share Extension
2. Ebilon downloads the article content directly from the source website
3. The content is parsed and stored locally on your device
4. No data is sent to our servers or any third party

The connection is made directly between your device and the article's source website. We never see or store this content.

PDF and EPUB Files

Documents you import are:

• Stored entirely on your device
• Never uploaded anywhere
• Not backed up to any cloud service by Ebilon
• Only accessible by you through the app

Export Feature

When you export your library:

• Files are created locally on your device
• You control where to save them (Files app, email, etc.)
• No export data is sent to us or stored anywhere else

Third-Party Services

Ebilon does not use any third-party services, including:

• No analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
• No crash reporting tools
• No advertising networks
• No social media integration
• No cloud storage services

Network Access

The app only connects to the internet to:

• Download article content when you save an article (direct connection to the source website)
• No other network activity occurs

We cannot see what articles you save or what websites you visit.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data because we don't have access to any data. Your information never reaches our servers or any third party.

Children's Privacy

Ebilon does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.

iOS Permissions

Ebilon may request the following iOS permissions:

• Share Extension: To save articles from Safari (required for core functionality)
• Files Access: To import PDF/EPUB files and export your library (only when you use these features)

These permissions are used only for their stated purpose and do not grant us access to your data.

iCloud and Backups

Ebilon does not use iCloud. However, your device may back up app data to iCloud as part of iOS's standard backup process. This is controlled by your iOS settings, not by Ebilon.

To exclude Ebilon from iCloud backup:

1. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups
2. Select your device
3. Turn off Ebilon

Data Security

• Security is managed by iOS and your device passcode/biometric authentication
• No data can be accessed if your device is locked
• No data can be intercepted in transit because there is no transmission

Your Rights

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Export: Use the export feature to save your library
• Delete: Delete individual items or clear all data in Settings
• Portability: Export in standard formats (JSON, HTML)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.

Since we don't collect your email or any contact information, we can't notify you of changes. Please review this policy periodically.
